About this Event

P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Patricia Park to celebrate and discuss her new book , a novel about how a Korean American former child actress decides to branch out and stand out in order to pursue her newfound love — stand-up comedy.

Patricia will be joined in conversation by comedian Soo Ra. Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Patricia will also sign copies of her book.

Both tickets and books are available on eventbrite and at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm with the talk starting closer to 7pm.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Patricia Park is a tenured professor of creative writing at American University, a Fulbright Scholar in Creative Arts, and a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow. She is the author of the YA novels, What's Eating Jackie Oh? and Imposter Syndrome and Other Confessions of Alejandra Kim, received starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews and School Library Journal and was an NPR Book of the Day. Patricia’s writing has also appeared in the New Yorker, the Guardian, Salon, and others.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Soo Ra is a stand-up comedian & content creator. She was selected for NY’s Funniest & Comics to Watch showcases in the NY Comedy Festival and her performance received mentions in Billboard “7 Best Performances We Saw” and Observer “Biggest Laughs & Brightest Comedians.” She has performed at notable festivals such as JFL & Netflix is a Joke Fest. She can be heard on the Netflix is a Joke Sirius XM channel. She’s made appearances on ABC, Fox, and BuzzFeed. She’s currently on a theater tour with Nate Jackson.   • Doors open at 6:30pm, with the talk starting around 7:00pm.
  • Books will be available for purchase at the event.
  • Cost of a book bundle ticket reflects the total cost of the feature event book (MSRP plus tax). Each book bundle ticket guarantees ticket holders one (1) copy of the feature event book.
  • The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear.
