Join us in Toronto on January 16 & 17, 2025, for a two-day in-person (hybrid) conference bringing together Non-Status, Refugee, and Immigrant (NSRI) women survivors, service providers, organizational leaders, and community advocates to reflect on and build the legacy of addressing gender-based violence (GBV) against NSRI communities.
The Pathways to Legacy conference marks the conclusion of the Building Leadership Capacity to Address GBV Against NSRI Women Across Canada project, focusing on fostering survivor-led advocacy and collective healing. The event aims to amplify the voices of NSRI survivors and center their leadership in shaping policies, practices, and community solutions to combat GBV.
Join us to:
- Reflect on the legacy of survivor-led change and the challenges and triumphs of NSRI women in their advocacy against GBV.
- Exchange knowledge and strategies that prioritize intersectional lived experiences and leadership in addressing GBV.
- Participate in collaborative sessions to identify actionable recommendations that center the needs of NSRI survivors.
- Strengthen national partnerships by connecting with diverse stakeholders committed to building sustainable solutions to GBV.
Conference sessions and activities include:
- Keynote addresses and panel discussions highlighting survivor-led advocacy and systemic change.
- Workshops on trauma-informed and culturally competent care.
- Interactive activities where participants can reflect on the collective impact of the project and commit to sustaining its legacy.
