This retreat is for peri menopausal and post menopausal women. There are countless retreats out there aimed at women in younger chapters in their life, but not so many focusing on The Path to the Elder.
So, I'm weaving together a beautiful retreat to help women step into their Elder Medicine.
The Theme is :
' Path to the Elder, Honouring Yourself as a Wise Medicine Woman'.
This transitional stage in a woman's life can be a Passage to Power or a bit of a sh*t show, depending on many factors.
A couple of years ago, I was at an Earth Kiva gathering, where Medicine Men and Medicine Women had gathered from different parts of the world. I had a wonderful conversation with an Aboriginal Elder, who was talking about ' Being an Elder'...
He said there are many different types of Elders...
There are child Elders, teenage Elders, young adult Elders, middle aged Elders and old Elders .
He was relaying the message that we each carry incredible Wisdom within us, which is expressed at every stage of our lives in different settings and circumstances.
But as a Woman goes through the passage of Menopause, there is a huge energetic shift within our energy bodies and with it, comes the capacity to really drop into a much Deeper Wisdom we carry within us.
Before the Menopause, My Feminine cycle was dictated by the Lunar cycle. I always bled at a Full Moon and felt an incredible surge of energy rise within me ,I always felt more ' psychic' at a Full Moon too.
Now my Feminine Energy body is tuning into and synching with a flow and gravitional connection to other planetary bodies, star systems near and far and to the Elder energy of the Earth.
I adore the moon, as I always have and aspects of my watery physiological being will always be touched her power, but she no longer dictates my Feminine Cycle.
So, for this retreat we will be engaging in a variety of practices to support you on your own unique
' Path to the Elder'.
There'll be room for 8 women, with everyone having their own ensuite accommodation.
The location is in a beautiful retreat centre in Grasmere. The very fabric of this building carries a beautiful energetic quality, from all the wonderful retreats that are held here all year round.
I know the Land and Spirit of Place here very well.
Your evenings will be your own to do as you wish. As this retreat is in May, the weather should be lively. May is usually one of the nicest months weather wise here in the Lakes.

Elemental & Nature Qi Gong
( to really tap into the Wisdom and living Consciousness of the Creative Forces of Nature)
Energy exchange practice with a Gorgeous Stone Being, upon who's body our Neolithic Ancestors marked with special cup marks.
We'll make an Elder Medicine vibrational Essence here over these cup marks.
This Stone Being has much Wise Elder energy to share with us.
(The Stone Beings are the true Elders of the Earth.)
There'll be a visit to Castlerigg Stone Circle for a special ' Elder Empowerment' ceremony.
And to help support you in honouring yourself as a Wise Medicine Woman, we'll be working in a variety of ceremonial and creative ways with the plant Spirit Medicines of :
Yew
Mugwort
Rose
Cacao
and more...
There'll be energetic transmissions and deep connection to your Nature Mother Nature Father and Guiding Star.
These connections will help feed the Wisdom Seeds waiting to root and shoot for you along your Path to the Elder.
There'll be, Drumming, Medicine Songs, Journeying, Meditation and all the good stuff that we'd expect on a heart nurturing retreat.
The retreat times are from 3.30pm on Sunday 25th May to 12pm on Wednesday 28th May.
All activities, excursions and materials for the activities are included in the price. You'll also receive a wee Path to the Elder goodies bag to take home with you.
