Presented by Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association (workshops designed by PATH Intl.) Perfect for instructors in training or those interested in getting started, this on-demand workshop series comprises six, separate segments that will be delivered in 3 workshops. The segments build on each other, starting with a macro-level view of therapeutic riding and evolving as the workshops progress to a micro-level view of the specific knowledge, skills and abilities required for professionals to deliver therapeutic riding sessions effectively and safely.

LEVEL 1 - November 2-3, 2024 - REGISTER BY OCTOBER 1st, 2024
LEVEL 2 - April 4-6, 2025
LEVEL 3 - July 4-6, 2025
Level 1 (Segment 1) is a two-day workshop.
Intended audiences: General community boards, potential grantors, donors or sponsors, volunteers and potential therapeutic riding instructor recruits.
Theme: 'The Concept': A brief overview of the EAS industry, clarifies terminology and illustrates why therapeutic riding benefits our riders. As well as an overview of PATH Intl. instructor certification processes with a focus on the CTRI process and skill requirements.
Classroom and Arena sessions.
COST: $200/person which commits you to all 3 workshops OR $100/person for an individual workshop (no commitment to all 3). Certification of Completion will only be provided by attending all 3 workshops (at an additional cost of $30/person). Lunch and snacks will also be included at each workshop at $25/person.
*To complete Level 3 participants will need to purchase a student manual - $100/manual*
If you complete all 3 segments then you will receive a Certificate of Completion (cost is $30/person).
Completion of Level 1 – 4 CE, 4 CR-Riding
Completion of Level 2 – 8 CR-Riding
Completion Level 3 – 8 CE, 24 CR-Riding
Completion of entire workshop series – 12 CE and 36 CR hours

Level 2 (Segment 2) is a three-day workshop.
Intended Audiences: Center executive or program directors, boards, center staff and potential therapeutic riding instructor recruits.
Theme: 'Quality of Service - How to do it well': PATH Intl. Standards as they apply to centers, PATH Intl. CTRI Criteria, and Equine Welfare and Management.
Classroom and Arena sessions.
Level 3 (Segment 3) is a two and a half day workshop.
Intended Audiences: PATH Intl. CTRI instructors in training
This portion is delivered by a guest PATH Intl. trained faculty member.
Theme: 'Instructor Training Workshop': Tack & Equipment, Volunteers, Horse Analysis, Mount & Dismount and Role Play
