In this one-day workshop running from 10:00 to 15.30, you will make a Christmas tree wall hanging using patchwork and quilting method.You will create your patchwork tree design from 2 ½ inch squares, to which you will add wadding and backing fabric to form a quilted panel.
Time permitting, the trunk and pot can be made separate and added to your tree.
All materials for the project are included. The backing is plain canvas but if you would like to create your panel with a different backing you will need to bring along 1/2 metre of fabric of your choice. If the fabric has a directional pattern running top to bottom, you will need 1 metre. Feel free to call me to discuss.
The tree squares for the patchwork will be pre-cut.
The finished panel, including trunk and pot, measures 21" high x 17" wide.
We will take a 20-minute break so feel free to bring a packed lunch, though there will be tea, coffee, and a selection of snacks available, maybe even a mince pie 😊
