Patch Repair Workshop (Falmouth)

Join us for a hands-on workshop teaching you how to repair and extend the life of your clothes.

For this session our Cornwall Repair Specialist, Emily, will teach you the Japanese technique of sashiko to repair woven garments. Bring along a piece to repair or practice the technique on a piece of fabric, experimenting with different stitches to embroider and reinforce the patch.

All materials and tools will be provided.

Please note: Two researchers from the University of Exeter, in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University, will join us to better understand repair through the workshops. No personal data will be shared.

All guests will receive a goodie bag to thank them for their participation.
