Painting with pastels is undoubtedly the easiest medium ever as there is no need for paint brushes, palettes, solvents, or canvas preparation. Pastels are the medium of choice for many artists because they are easily transported and very cost effective. All you need to get started with Pastel Painting is some pastel sticks, a sheet of paper, and your fingers then you’re on your way to creating beautiful master pieces. It is ideal for painting travel experiences as the equipment is compact and the results colourful and expressive.
No experience is needed for this Pastel painting course as Margaret will guide you step by step teaching you all the techniques you need to know. If you have worked with Pastels before and want to continue then you are welcome, there will be lots of opportunity for you to improve your skills. Pastel paintings glow with an intensely luminous colour and giving a rich velvety texture providing vibrant results.
