Pastel de Nata Masterclass at REAL Bakery in Lisbon

This is the only cooking class in Portugal where you get to learn about pastry making inside a real Portuguese bakery, with a professional pastry chef!

The class starts with an introduction to the history of Pastel de Nata. After you've geared up, you'll go inside a pro kitchen where you will learn how to bake the irresistible Portuguese Custard Tarts (aka Pastel de Nata / Egg Tarts) everybody loves!
Unlike other Pastel de Nata classes around Lisbon, we will show you how to make puff pastry from scratch. Afterwards, we will make the custard and bake it all inside a professional oven. During this class we all work together as a team. Everyone will get to make at least 3 tarts by hand - learn how to laminate the dough, spread it with a specific Pastel de Nata technique, fill in the custard, etc. The end result will be a delicious collaborative effort.
In the end, we'll eat the warm tarts Portuguese style, that is, with cup of coffee.
