The Past Pages Book Club meets monthly at the Cortland County Historical Society, and we usually read local and regional history. Because of the approaching 250th anniversary of the United States, this year, we are using the American Revolution to guide our book selections. To refresh our collective memory about Revolutionary War history, we will be reading a mix of national and state history as well as historical fiction.
For July, we will be reading "Jacob's Land: Revolutionary War Soldiers, Schemers, Scoundrels and the Settling of New York's Frontier" by local author Charles Yaple. You should be able to get a copy of this book through the library system or it is available for purchase online.
If you have any questions about the Past Pages Book Club or the book, please give us a call at 607-756-6071.
