A Visit to an Eco House in Lewes – Grand (ish) Designs!
As Covid was coming to an end Stephen and Trish took stock. The kids had fledged, their family house in London seemed too big and they felt as if they needed a new adventure. After probably too many glasses of wine they came up with a brilliant plan - why not sell up and build an “eco” house on the South Coast? … so the adventure began.
This talk (and house visit) set in the beautiful town of Lewes will look at the unexpectedly tricky progress of this project from conceptual design to final commissioning. Along the way you will be introduced to the madness of the planning system, the insanity of builders, the genius of German engineers and the delights of living “off the grid.
On the day you will have the opportunity to see the house and hear the talk but also sample the delights of lovely Lewes such as Harvey’s Brewery, The Priory and Castle.
During the Visit, there will be a Q&A session where attendees will be able to ask questions.
After the visit there will be a Social and opportunity for a meal at the John Harvey Tavern where we will have parked
