FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 20, San Francisco, CA —The Mission District’s FREE community art stroll on the second Saturday of every other month, PASEO ARTISTICO returns live and in-person June 4-18, 2021 with “The Phoenix of La Mission/El Fénix de La Misión” Gallery Show and Art Auction Fundraiser to support the beloved community art series celebrating Latinx Culture on 24th Street and help it continue after the pandemic. The exhibit will be available for in person viewing at local galleries and the Live Online Art Auction on the June 12 Facebook Livestream.
This June 4, Paseo Artistico returns to live art activities again after 15 months of online only programs due to the COVID 19 shelter in place order. After the devasting pandemic wreaked havoc on Latinos in the Mission District who suffered disproportionately, Paseo Artistico brings hope back with art that feeds our soul. “El Fénix de la Misón Art Auction and Fundraiser” will be an in person gallery show, live online art auction and performance fundraiser featuring 50 local artists who have previously presented at Paseo Artistico including Juana Alicia, Michael Román, Juan Fuentes, Favianna Rodriguez, Calixto Robles, AGANA, Susan Cervantes, Josue Rojas, Rio Yañez, Kate Razo, Azteca Negra, and many more.
The June 12 Live online auction event will also feature performances from Rising Rhythms SF Dance Company, La Familia Govea, and others.
