About this Event

Broad Street Review is celebrating 20 years of independent nonprofit arts journalism serving the greater Philadelphia area. As other outlets scale back their arts coverage or disappear altogether, BSR continues to give Philly’s world-class arts scene the dedicated coverage it deserves. In 20 years, we have become the region’s top destination for cultural criticism—an important platform for writers, readers, artists, and cultural institutions alike, drawing 300,000 readers around the world in 2025.
Twenty years is a long time in the digital age, and we’re going to celebrate. Party with the Critics: 20 years of Broad Street Review is coming up on January 15, 2026 from 6-9pm at Indy Hall (709 N. 9th Street in Northern Liberties).

Some event details are still forthcoming, but we’ll have food, drinks, a performance from Philly solo star Chris Davis, a silent auction, brief remarks from BSR leaders, and best of all, the chance to be in the room with our wonderful community of staffers, writers, readers, donors, and BSR partners.

We are so excited to mark this important milestone with everyone who values BSR, and who has kept our work alive for two decades in an increasingly challenging media environment.

When you buy a standard $50 ticket, you are directly supporting the work of our arts journalists in 2026. When you buy at the $100 New Friend level, you become a Friend of BSR, which means free entry to BSR meetups and educational events in 2026 (including our popular annual webinars), exclusive discounts and promotions from our partners, and special messages from the BSR team. And a $500 Media Champion ticket shows your unrivaled passion for independent arts media, going into what may be the hardest year American journalists have ever experienced—especially journalists in the cultural space.

Indy Hall is a wheelchair-accessible venue with gender-neutral restrooms, and masks are welcome.
