About this Event

Party School is stand up comedy special where Olivia Xing calls out the nonsense she's come across in America and the bullshit she knows about China. She delves into her experience as a Chinese abroad during COVID, riffing on racism and capitalism as well as censorship and dictatorship. There are a lot of impassioned profanity and sarcasm, but, of course, the show won’t be all jokes and puns. She calls for action on the rising nationalism and declining democracy in China, America, and across the world. As Toni Cada said, "the role of the artist is to make revolutions irresistible", the role of the comedian is to point out the ridiculous. Hopefully this show will be cathartic for everyone who has been feeling politically depressed for the past few years because of viruses, wars and stupid politicians.
