Pictures
We will take pictures of the children throughout the week. We will give each child a printed picture on the last day of VBS, and we will post pictures on our church website and Instagram so you can see all of the fun that the kids had throughout the week. If you prefer not to have your child photographed, please let the church know when you drop off your child on the first day. [email protected] or call the office at (412) 486-9220
Themed Days
To add even more fun to our week, we will have themed days that your child can participate in if he or she would like:
Tuesday - Crazy Sock Day
Wednesday - Tie Dye or Camouflage Day
Thursday - Crazy Hair Day
Friday - Hat Day
Charity
The Bible teaches us to be good stewards. Each year at VBS, we provide an opportunity to donate funds or supplies to local people in need. The VBS+ kids even get to distribute these items in person! More details on this year's charity will be forthcoming, including any supplies that we will be collecting.
The following information pertains to VBS (preschool - grade 4):
Games
We may play water games on warm days. If you're heading anywhere after VBS, you can bring a change of dry clothes for your possibly wet kids. (We will not have kids change clothes during VBS, but you can use our restrooms after you have picked up your child.)
Groups
Preschool children will be grouped together and will participate in age-appropriate activities. Children in kindergarten through grade 4 will be grouped based on the number of registrants.
The following information pertains to VBS+ (grade 5 through 8):
VBS+ (Incoming 5th–8th Graders)
VBS+ is designed for students entering 5th through 8th grade and combines faith, service, and fun!
📖 Monday: We spend the day at the church learning about what mission work is and exploring its biblical foundation through lessons, discussions, and activities.
❤️ Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: Students participate in hands-on mission experiences by visiting local ministries and organizations, such as Under the Bridge Ministry, where they serve and learn about helping those in need in our community.
🎉 Thursday: Fun Day! We take a break from our mission work and enjoy an exciting outing, such as Urban Air or another special field trip.
VBS+ gives students the opportunity to grow in their faith, serve others, build friendships, and have a great time throughout the week!
