Parkville in Poetry & Song: Kasey Rausch, Kristin Hamilton, Lucy Gray & Rebecca Liberty

You’re invited to a celebration of Parkville in Poetry and Song featuring offerings in the round from Kasey Rausch, Kristin Hamilton, Lucy Gray, and special guest, Rebecca Liberty! Each of us have connections to Parkville, some before the town was coined its current name and others in recent years. From the perspectives of an ancestor of the first indigenous people of Platte County (Rebecca), an ancestor of some of the first white settlers (Kasey) and the fresh eyes of newer residents, (Kristin and Lucy), we’ll share stories, poems and songs. Please join us 3-5pm on June 20th. The Parkville Presbyterian Church has graciously donated their sanctuary for the event. All are welcome. Before or after the event, take the time to stroll historic Main Street, Parkville Nature Sanctuary, or take a walk by the river. We’ll be so joyful to celebrate our home town with you all.
A portion of ticket sales will benefit Parkville Living Center, a place to engage with community and be in relation with others, across all life stages and chapters. A whole person approach to community, where needs and resources are brought together for the common good. We'll also have a raffle to add to the donation.
