PARKING UPDATE: In life, just as in Tango, one must improvise and pivot! Fil discovered yesterday that the parking lot at Vic Mathias Shores is now fenced in for a NYE concert and it will not be removed until 1/2. There are still street spots on the east side of S. First bridge and other parts of the park but you might want to consider carpooling, getting a garage or Uber. Let your New Year's festivities continue on a warm Texas Winter day, Thursday, January 1, 2026 1-4 PM at Auditorium Shores at the South end of the First Street Bridge and the Long Center. We will be dancing on Trex decking so practice shoes are recommended rather than heels. Snacks and drinks are a pot luck affair, so feel free to bring something to share, if you like. DIRECTIONS: Address is: 9307 Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trl, Austin, TX 78701. Look for the sign on Riverside Dr that says Vic Mathias Shores, which is the entrance to the parking lot. This lot is free and tends to be busy, but there is quick turnover. So, give yourself about 10 minutes waiting, and a spot should open up. We hope to see you there!
