The Varley Parker Quintet officially formed in 2017 to play the Guildford Jazz Festival. It draws heavily on the Blue Note catalogue of the late 50s and 60s for its inspiration and material but also features music from modern masters such as Tom Harrell, Roy Hargrove and Bobby Watson.
Expect bluesy, soulful, funky jazz with a latin seasoning! Feat: Marianne Windham Bass, Sam Parker Sax, Ed Kinsella Piano, Dave Evetts Drums and Graham Varley Trumpet
And of course a warm Italian welcome and amazing food at Shardana’s Italian Restaurant!
