The Manhattan Community Board 9 SGL-LGBTQ Task Force presents a film screening of Paris is Burning, the groundbreaking documentary that celebrates the resilience, artistry, and culture of New York’s 1980s drag and ballroom scene. The screening will be on Thursday March 6th from 6:30 to 8:30pm at The Forum at Columbia University in Room 315.
Following the screening, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion about the ongoing local legacy of ballroom culture and the film itself. Refreshments will be served.
