Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony Watch Party at the Embassy

Watch the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremonies LIVE in France (or, rather, in the Embassy of France).

Paris 2024 is bringing sports to the very heart of the city by holding its opening ceremony along its main artery, the Seine. This is the first time in the Summer Games history that the inaugural event will not take place in a stadium.

A parade of boats–one for each nation–will be equipped with cameras so that fans at home see the athletes up close. 10,500 sports stars will make their way down a six-kilometer route to dock in front of the Trocadéro, where the rest of the Olympic protocol and final shows will occur.

The Embassy of France in the US is looking forward to hosting Washingtonian, French and international friends to watch in our host city this once-in-a-lifetime event taking place in our home country.

Join us for a watchparty featuring a livestream of the ceremony happening in Paris with music, refreshments, and food, with both standing and sitting options available. All inside with air conditioning.

Dress Code: Wear the colors of your national team ????

Doors will open at 1:00 PM EST and will close at 3:00 PM EST.

Each guest must be registered under their first and last name matching the ID that will be presented for access.

All guests must be over 16 years old.
