Parfumerie is a heartwarming and nostalgic romantic comedy set in 1930s Budapest. At Hammerschmidt’s perfume shop, Christmas draws near, heightening the tension between employees George and Amalia, who can’t seem to agree on anything — especially their feelings for each other. But unbeknownst to both, the two are actually secret pen pals who have fallen in love through anonymous letters. As secrets unfold and misunderstandings bloom, Parfumerie takes the audience on a journey of love, friendship, and second chances, highlighting the spirit of the season and the joy of unexpected connections.
Parfumerie inspired a number of movies and Broadway hits, including You've Got Mail, Shop Around the Corner, and She Loves Me.
