Foothills Family Counseling is excited offering a half-day community workshop focused on understanding and overcoming anger, trauma, anxiety, and sadness in children and self. Our focus is to educate and equip parents to understand, teach, and model regulation from strong emotions. You do not have to be a parent to attend as it is information that is useful to all but our focus will be equipping parents, grandparents, teachers… The workshop will be located at Collins Children's Home conference area from 8-12 with refreshments!
The workshop is free and open to the public but please register thru the gooogle form link on the event.
Join us for a fun, yes fun, and eye opening morning of hope and understanding!
Workshops will be as follows
8-8:30 Meet and greet (coffee and snacks)
8:30-Mental Health 101
9:00- Understanding and Overcoming anxiety (and working on trauma)
9:45-Codependency in relationships, recognizing and rewiring relationship style
10:20-Helping children with anxiety and fear
11- breakout groups learning to model and teach self-awareness and regulation. We want you to walk out with real skills and understanding!
