Introduction to Positive Discipline Workshop especially for parents with kids age 2-8 years old on Monday 6th February from 7-8:30pm at Soma Saigon.You will learn:
- Why kids misbehave and why they don't listen
- Tools to help you 'nag' less and to cope with tantrums
- How to create a more peaceful home
- How positive discipline tools can help your kids develop more independence, responsibility, and cooperation.
Positive Discipline workshops are experiential - this means we'll be using a lot of conversation, activities, and role-play (yes!) to enter into the world of the child and to find out what works, and what doesn't.
The introduction workshop will be followed by a 6 weeks series, once a week for 2 hours (each Monday 7-9pm) where we will take a deep-dive. You will receive 1-2 tools to practice at home each week, along with other resources to help you stop yelling and start connecting.
The 6 week series will include topics such as:
• How to be kind AND firm
• Why and how to regulate emotions
• Alternatives to time out and traditional discipline
• How to deal with sibling fighting
• How to eliminate bedtime & morning battles
• How to set up family meetings for connection and effective problem-solving
• Other effective solutions to solve problems
• And more…

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACILITATOR:
Bec Archer is a qualified elementary teacher from New Zealand, mom of 3, and Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, Certified Positive Discipline Early Childhood Educator, and Certified Positive Discipline in the Classroom Educator Z (with the Positive Discipline Association of America). She has been working with expat families for the last 4 years in Beijing, China, and globally online.
