Parenting Pep Talks with Beci Fisher at Honey House

When I first met Beci, I was wedged somewhere inside a soft play. Her middle child (he was 3 at the time) came up to me and asked me, "are these your children?". We ended up having a proper chat and I thought, this boy is seriously cool - "I wonder who his mum is". Never far behind her three children, Beci then popped her head around the corner and we've been friends ever since.

In the short space of our friendship, I have learnt so much from Beci when it comes to parenting my two children, Alba, 3 and Otto, 1. Her advice is simple, kind and always has me thinking - "why didn't I think of that?!"

When it came to launching the core events programme at Honey House, I had to have Beci involved. Luckily for me, Beci has recently launched a parenting consultancy, the Respectful Parenting Company. This brings together Beci's 18 years experience in early years settings including supporting children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, six years parenting her own three young children and her current role as a school governer.

During this welcoming and non-judgemental workshop, parents are invited to air their current parenting challenges in this group sesion. Parenting guru, Beci Fisher will share her expertise and provide practical tips and advice on various parenting topics. Best for parents with children aged 18 months - 10 years old, but open to all. From navigating the challenges of toddlerhood to the world behind the school gates, Beci will answer your questions and leave you feeling clear, competent and empowered.

The format of this event will be:

• Opportunity to grab a drink and say hello
• Introductions
• Beci will share a (fun!) and interesting presentation on positive interaction and encouraging co-operarion.
• Chance to share a particular parenting challenge. Beci will then respond to each and provide you with solutions and strategies. No pressure at all to share if you don't feel comfortable, we can just move on to the next person.
• Opportunity to actively listen to other people's challenges. There will be chance at the end to chat about shared experiences and shared struggles (of which I imagine there will be lots!)
• Opportunity for Beci to share some final practical tips on any wider topics that come up.
