Parent Support Club – Teen Group(Wednesdays at 4pm PT) – Fall 2024

The Parent Support Club: Teen Adoptee Edition. Our club is for parents with teenage adopted children (13-18). We realize that having a group like this would be most beneficial to parents when they are able to actually interact with the facilitators and other parents, so we are limiting the club to the first 15 parents who sign up.

There will be two of Holt’s Post-Adoption Coaching and Education (PACE) social workers, who will facilitate the group. Each of the five weeks, we have designated a topic to address that particularly pertains to your child’s developmental stage. All of these will be looked at through the adoption lens. Our hope is that you can learn from both the PACE social workers and the other adoptive parents in the group. It’s a time for you to both explore what your child needs during this stage of life and also share with others what parenting insights you might have gathered through your lived experience. We want this to be an interactive time for all attending. And most of all we want it to work for you and meet your needs.
