Parent & Me Tiny Hands Dinosaur Themed Cake Decorating Class!

Get ready for a ROAR-some sweet adventure with Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn of Ravy Cakes!
In this hands-on Parent & Me (or Grandparent & Me) cake decorating class, little students and their grown-ups will work together to decorate an adorable dinosaur-themed cake designed especially for tiny hands.

Guided by Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn, families will learn simple, age-appropriate decorating techniques using colorful buttercream, fun textures such as buttercream piping, and playful dinosaur details. Children will explore creativity while practicing fine motor skills, and adults will enjoy quality bonding time filled with laughter and frosting fun. Each team will decorate a dinosaur cookie topper.

No experience is needed—everything is provided such as cake decorating tools to use during the lesson, and every team will leave with a finished dinosaur cake to proudly show off (and enjoy at home!).

Each team will receive a delicious crumb coated cake to decorate & a sugar cookie cake topper to decorate, and all ingredients to complete the cake. Each team will receive a cake box to take their creation home.

Meet Your Instructor:

Dawn Alston of Ravy Cakes, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, grew up in Northern Virginia where she started baking at the age of six. Dawn holds an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and has competed in many local baking events and in 2018 she competed on Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship. All The Details:

• Age Level: 5+ with a parent/adult
• Skill Level: Beginner
• Each ticket includes 1 adult and 1 child. If you wish to bring more than 1 child to the class, there is an additional charge of $100. Please contact Fran's directly to purchase your ticket to ensure we can accommodate an additional child.
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box for each team to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 2 teams and there is a maximum of 8 teams. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 2 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
