HOMECOMING PARADE SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 2025We will begin our parade line up at 8:30 AM.
All parade participants will enter on North 15th Street at Broad Street. A parade volunteer, standing by a sign that reads “PARADE ENTRANTS ONLY,” will be there to direct you north on 15th Street to Vine Street.
If your class has more than one entry (vehicles, float, walkers) please enter together as a class group. That will help our volunteers with lining up parade entrants.
Upon entering Vine Street you will be directed to your position in the line.
Most of the NCHS entries will queue up on North Main Street (from Broad Street to Vine Street). There will be two lines: west side of North Main Street and east side of North Main Street.
Class entries will queue up on Vine Street (from North Main Street to North 15th Street). There will also be two lines: south side of Vine Street and north side of Vine Street.
Our parade commences at 10:00 AM – led by the NCPD, Homecoming Grand Marshal Phyllis Kirkpatrick (Class of 1943), and the NCHS Marching Band.
The first line out will be the entrants on the west side of North Main Street, followed by the entrants on the east side of North Main Street.
Next out will be the entrants on the south side of Vine Street, followed by the entrants on the north side of Vine Street.
We will proceed south on Main Street to Park Side Drive. There we will turn west and parade to our terminus, NCHS fieldhouse parking lot.
Please keep in mind that everyone associated with the operation of this year’s homecoming parade is a volunteer. We don’t do this for a living, so there may be a snag or two. Be kind and have a safe and wonderful Homecoming 2025.
