Anything goes! This is the motto of Paracinema, a festival dedicated to films and genres outside the mainstream. Expect a steady diet of horror, sci-fi and fantasy but in addition we will explore other genres and sub-genres that don’t often get the opportunity to play on the big screen.Our 2024 event runs over the early May Bank Holiday weekend from 3rd-6th May, with four days of films, talks, panels and more!
Highlights this year include a 25th Anniversary Screening of The Blair Witch Project, plus a talk on Found Footage cinema from director Sarah Appleton, Cult Film Club will present a rare cinema screening of Repo! The Genetic Opera, we also host a day focusing on British indie horror, a talk on Star Wars rip offs and much much more!
