Join us on the last Thursday of each month (March through September) for a relaxed ride on the Rock Island Trail! This is a family-friendly ride open to all ages and ability levels. Whether you want to keep things casual or push the pace a little, we’d love to have you join us. The main group will keep an easy, social pace, but if you prefer to ride a little faster or go a bit longer, feel free to do your own thing and meet back up with us afterward.
Route & Details
We'll start from Pappo's Pizzeria in Lee's Summit and head over to the Rock Island Trail for an out-and-back ride to the Vale Tunnel. The pace will be relaxed and conversational, making it a great opportunity to enjoy the trail and good company.
Some of these rides will finish after sunset, so please bring lights to stay safe on the way back.
Post-Ride Hangout
After the ride, we’ll stick around at Pappo’s to enjoy food and drinks. They have excellent pizza, a variety of menu options, and 20+ beers on tap—perfect for wrapping up the evening.
Notes
Parking: We recommend parking in the back lot, which is less congested and offers easy access to the back patio.
Need gear or snacks? Bike Stop Lee’s Summit is just a couple of minutes down the road if you need any last-minute ride essentials.
