Paper Street Theatre General Audition

Paper Street Theatre is having auditions!

That’s right! Come audition for the improv company that brought you: An Improvised Quentin Tarantino, Yes and Yesteryear (An Improvised Jane Austen), The Handmade Tale (An Improvised Margaret Atwood), IMPROV Actually (An Improvised RomCom), A M**der on Paper Street (An Improvised Agatha Christie), GRIMM, The First Few Pages, The Glass Bell, (An Improvised Sylvia Plath), Left and Grieving, Laughterhouse-Five (An Improvised Kurt Vonnegut) and so many more of your favourite improv productions.

Auditions will be held in downtown Victoria at the Pacific School of Innovation and Inquiry (634 Humboldt St). Registration is required.

There are multiple audition times – Monday April 28th: 6pm or 7:30pm, and Tuesday April 29th: 6pm or 7:30pm. Additional Audition times will be added if needed. Audition slots are one hour, and all you need to bring is YOU (playfulness and a willingness to take risks and try new things is recommended).

These general auditions are for our 2025/2026 season of completely improvised theatre and are open to all skill levels.

• Yes and Yesteryear – An Improvised Jane Austen: July 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, & 26th.
• Like a Moth - Fictional True Stories: Oct 22nd-25th, 2025
• M**der on Paper Street - Improvised Agatha Christie: T.B.D. 2025
• Adaptation – An Improvised Play: Dec 10th-13th, 2025
• Christmas Eavesdropping - Online show over Zoom: T.B.D. 2025
• Amazing Stories - Pulp Sci-Fi: Feb 18th-21st, 2026

This is an excellent opportunity for any improviser to get a free workshop on the techniques and skills Paper Street Theatre will be using in our upcoming season, including: honest and sincere storytelling, heightened/poetic language, theatrical improvisation, character work, genre work, and more.

Payment Structure:
Paper Street Theatre does offer an honorarium to all performers cast in our main stage productions(Like a Moth, Adaptation, Amazing Stories). For all other shows we use a profit share model.
