Synopsis
Captain Pantaleón Pantoja is a disciplined and devoted officer in the Peruvian Army who receives a secret assignment from his superiors: to organize a special service of “visitors” for troops stationed in remote outposts of the Amazon jungle.
Determined to complete the mission with absolute efficiency, Pantaleón turns the operation into a meticulously managed military enterprise while hiding the truth from his wife. But when he becomes involved with Olga, known as “La Colombiana,” his commitment to duty begins to collide with desire, scandal and the consequences of the very system he was ordered to create.
Directed by Francisco Lombardi and starring Salvador del Solar, Angie Cepeda, Mónica Sánchez and Pilar Bardem, Pantaleón y las visitadoras is one of the most celebrated adaptations of Mario Vargas Llosa’s work, combining satire, romance and political critique in an unforgettable portrait of military bureaucracy and human desire.
