Retro - Panos Gourgiotis & Giouli"Ti'ne afto pou to lene agapi"
“Retro” is a songbook full of beloved greek melodies.
Panos and Giouli start this musical journey from their favourite interwar composers (Attik, Souyoul, Gounaris etc), well-known for their poetic lyrics and great, timeless melodies.
The next stop is the 50’s and 60’s greek soft music (elafro tragoudi) with songs written for the cinema and a short reference to the early works of great composers such as Hadjidakis, Theodorakis, Xarhakos.
Last but not least, we are heading to the end of the journey, the 70’s. It was back then, when a new genre called Neo Kima (new wave), took over Athens and was performed in the numerous tiny venues called “Boîtes”.
