Butler, one of MAWA’s foremothers, is well-known and respected for her important work as a painter, printmaker, community leader and an artist-activist. Presenters include 'Other Circumstances' co-curators Pamela Edmonds and Patrick Mahon, as well as printmaker and School of Art Assistant Professor Suzie Smith. Together, they will provide insight into Butler’s remarkable artistic practice, her work as a community organizer and educator, and the significant impact her contributions have made.
