About this Event

THE STATE OF BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS IN ARKANSAS is the first of a series of panel discussions brought to you by The March for BW&Gs.

The dynamic panelists are a collective of Black women who are leading the change: Carissa Rodgers (The Alternative Tribe), Vernice King (A Place for Resources), Amber Booth-McCoy & Katina White (The Diversity Booth) and Coffy Davis (T.U.R.N. project). The event will be moderated by a special guest.

“We wanted to put an event together that discussed the struggles of Black women and Girls in Arkansas and what we can do as a state to address needs/concerns of BW&G's in our community. Black women are often silenced, and it is time we give them a platform to be heard.”

The conversation will touch on 4 lanes:

Wellness

Education

Spirituality

Restoration

The event is FREE and open to the Public (with limited in-person slots)

COVID protocols will be followed. Please wear a mask.
