UofL's Sustainability Council, Dept. of Urban and Public Affairs, and Louisville DSA's Get On The Bus Campaign invite you to join us in Bingham Humanities Building room 205 for a special panel discussion, moderated by UofL's sustainability director and Forward Radio host, Dr. Justin Mog. We will take a deeper look at a complex issue that is vital to the sustainable future of any city, but especially Louisville: public transit. Panelists include:
>> Michael Blackwood, Co-Manager, Get On The Bus Public Transit Campaign
>> Lillian Brents, former President, Amalgamated Transit Union
>> Sarah Lynn Cunningham, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Louisville Climate Action
>> Tony Curtis, Executive Director, Metro Housing Coalition
Together, we'll tackle a wide spectrum of topics and provide a myriad of insights and perspectives on the topic, including environmental impacts, economic impacts, organizing/advocacy, and a successful transit campaign in a peer city. We'll also have a small pop-up exhibit of supporting materials to help you visualize the topic further. This panel will illuminate the obstacles and opportunities for world-class public transit in our city, and why funding TARC matters. A pop-up exhibit of supporting materials will help you visualize the issue further. ALL ARE WELCOME!
