This event is part of the PANDAwomen 2025 Festival.This evening, curated by artist and visual poet Elza Javakhishvili, is dedicated to the multiplicity of voices coming from contemporary Georgia. Between poetry, film, and music, the program creates a space for reflection — on language, belonging, artistic memory, and political fracture.

Opening Speech
Nino Haratischwili
One of the most important voices in contemporary Georgian and German literature, author of Das achte Leben (Für Brilka), opens the evening with reflections on art and language in exile.

Born in Sighnaghi, Georgia, and based in Berlin, Elza Javakhishvili is a visual poet, artist, performer, and writer. With a background in film directing and visual arts (Berlin University of the Arts), her practice explores heterolinguality, text as image, and the politics of poetic voice.
Moderated by Tatia Asatiani
Tatia Asatiani will guide the evening, which begins with an address by acclaimed author Nino Haratischwili, followed by readings from Georgian poets whose work speaks across generations and geographies. The program then turns to film — with two works by Georgian women directors — and closes with a concert that blends folk, soul, classical, and electronic sound worlds.

Ana Tcheishvili
Poet and psychologist from Tbilisi, now based in Leipzig. Writes in Georgian and German. Her debut poetry collection was published in 2024; she is a recipient of the Wolfgang Weyrauch Prize.
Eka Kevanishvili
Poet and journalist. Her award-winning poetry explores gender, war, and injustice. She works for Radio Free Europe and has published seven books.
Kato Javakhishvili
Poet, playwrighter, and cultural activist. Her work addresses memory, trauma, and resistance. She also leads community-based projects in Georgia.
Anka Gujabidze
Visual artist and filmmaker from Tbilisi. Formerly a documentary photographer, now working in independent poetic cinema.
Anna Dziapshipa
Filmmaker exploring identity and post-Soviet memory. Her recent documentary Self-Portrait Along the Borderline received international recognition.
Nini Nutsubidze
Singer-songwriter blending soul, R&B, and Georgian folk. Based in Berlin, she works across music production and sound design.

Multidisciplinary artist weaving synth-pop, lo-fi visuals, and early-internet aesthetics. Her work explores emotion and digital memory.
Nestan Bagration-Davitashvili
Classically trained pianist with a focus on contemporary music. Her performances combine technical precision with expressive depth.
