The Kiwanis Club of Stuart is hosting its annual "Pancakes & Reading in the Park" on Saturday morning, March 8, 2025. The cost is $5, and children under 5 are free for this all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes, along with green eggs and ham, to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.
In addition to breakfast, the event is focused on encouraging reading by young children and specifically highlight books by Dr. Seuss. Children will receive free books and reading-related gifts from vendors. There will be story time, readings, games, prizes, rock art as well as play time in the award-winning Kiwanis Park. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund Kiwanis community service projects and school leadership programs within Martin County. Local organizations and companies sponsor the event, and community leaders also participate by reading Dr. Seuss stories. Nonprofit informational booths focus on services benefiting children and families. Tickets can be purchased upon park entry.
