Milwaukee’s master luthier and sublime guitarist launches the morning with wordless songs of the soul written with pluck and twang telling the stories of life. Featuring songs from his recent album, 6/8 Time.
Betty & Damian
A special rare performance by Betty and Damian of Milwaukee’s premier band, Testa Rosa. Betty and Damian Strigens formed Testa Rosa in 2005. Several records later, the group remains a constant on the pop rock front, deviating from the weighty garage and punk rock scene in Milwaukee. What they decide to do as a duet is anybody’s guess.
Panalure
The band is known for combining thoughtfully crafted storytelling with an eclectic range of folk, rock, country, blues and jazz elements. If you’re looking for a label, call it “Americana.” Panalure delivers a mix of songs that will both engage your brain and get your feet moving. They will premier songs from their upcoming fifth album, due to be released in October.
The morning will be hosted by Ryan Castelaz, the author of “The New Art of Coffee” and owner of Discourse.
