Hailing originally from Amish country in Ohio, Pam West grew up singing Southern Baptist gospel music, joined the US Army bands as a symphonic bassoonist at the age of 17, and over the last two decades, has performed her original brand of Acoustic Art Rock and Ethereal Soul for audiences both in the US and abroad, to include radio, television, major music festivals, and national venues. She has opened and performed for some big names across the years. In 2015 and 2016, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing as a special guest of the progressive art rock tribute band, the Justice League, playing flute in their Jethro Tull Thick as a Brick tribute, and providing backing vocals, flute and percussion in the recreation of Genesis’ The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. She also performed with a 26 piece ensemble recreating the Beatles Sergeant Peppers and Magical Mystery Tour albums.
In July of 2018, she performed Off-Broadway as a backing vocalist and musician in the New York Musical Festival production of Bad Ass Beauty: The Rock Opera. She currently works as the director of the Andes Public Library and provides early childhood, intergenerational, therapeutic, and private music lessons/studio production throughout the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. Pam is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, a powerful, soulful singer, and an award-winning songwriter who has released numerous albums in various genres of music, to include rock, acoustic folk, new age, and children’s music. Come listen to her originals and covers of acoustic classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, John Denver and more!
