Free BLS

BLS will be completed after your course, at no extra cost to you. Expect your American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Providers cards to be sent via email sometime before 5 PM the day of class.

Agenda

The PALS Provider Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a team leader in either an in-hospital or an out-of-hospital setting. Really concentrate on the 12 PALS Core Case Scenarios. They make up 96% of the written test!!! All AHA Courses are now open books, so take good notes. The minimum passing score is 84%.

Study Guide

Attached to your welcome email is a short 14-page Study Guide. Reading through it at least twice will almost guarantee a passing score. The study guide contains everything on the test. The more time you spend reading it, the easier the class will be for you.

What to Wear

Loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require you to work on your hands and knees. This course requires bending, standing, and lifting. If you have any physical condition that might prevent you from engaging in these activities, please tell an instructor. The instructor may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems.
