Children’s author Adriana Erin Rivera reads from her book “Paloma's Song for Puerto Rico", a story about a 12-year-old girl and her family dealing with Puerto Rico’s historical upheaval in 1898. “Paloma’s Song” is part of the Nuestras Voces series, a collaboration with the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of the American Latino, which profiles inspiring characters and honors the joys and challenges of Latinos. Families will enjoy a visual presentation, a performance by the author of an original song from the book, light refreshments, and a Q&A session.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Co-presented by Latinos of Montclair and Montclair Public Library.
