Palo Verde Park Improvement CelebrationJoin Tucson Parks and Recreation, Mayor Regina Romero, and Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham as we celebrate the completion of major improvements at Palo Verde Park. This community investment brings new recreation opportunities, upgraded amenities, and enhanced green infrastructure to the neighborhood.
The project includes:
• New and replacement LED ballfield lighting
• A new irrigation system
• Two new full-size basketball courts
• Three new pickleball courts
• Two new ramadas
• A new playground with shade
• Green stormwater infrastructure improvements and 42 new native desert shade trees at the Langley Parcel
This $4.8 million improvement project was funded through:
• Proposition 407 Bonds — $3,123,253.52
• Impact Fees — $1,055,000
• City Framework Funds — $500,000
• Green Storm Water Infrastructure Funds — $101,026
• Ward 2 Funding — $39,440
