The Company of Voyces (conductor Robin Stopford) is performing a full Choral Evensong for Palm Sunday here at All Saints’ on Sunday 24 March at 6.30pm. Almost all of the music performed was written by Charles Villiers Stanford, one of this country’s most important composers of Anglican liturgical music and whose centenary of his death falls this year, hence the ‘Stanford100’ title
A great way to start Holy Week 2024 with some of the most sublime and powerful music ever written for the church.
