Palm Springs Speaks presents Jane Wiedlin
About this Event
Jane Wiedlin is best known as the rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist, songwriter, and co-founder, of the all-female, multi-platinum-selling band the Go-Go's who were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. The Go-Go’s were the first all-woman rock group to hit number one on the Billboard charts while playing their own instruments and performing original songs. As guitarist and lyricist, Jane Wiedlin helped define that revolution. From the early L.A. punk scene, Jane’s song “Our Lips Are Sealed” catapulted the band to fame. The Go-Go’s hit dizzying heights, only to splinter apart in a whirlwind of touring, tension, and chaos rivaling any band of the era. As a solo artist, she has released half a dozen albums, had the global smash hit “Rush Hour,” and was the driving force behind the punk band froSTed.
Yet Jane’s story goes far beyond the stage. In her memoir titled TMI: Memoirs of a Go-Go she shares the raw, unvarnished journey of an artist who overcame it all, sharing a vivid account of her life on and off the stage. Learn more at: Jane currently resides in the Bay Area, splitting her time between music, painting, writing, and dog rescue.
She will discuss her book with with local entertainment journalist Bruce Fessier and then will perform a limited number of songs for the audience, followed by a book signing.
Wiedlins’ memoir, TMI: Memoirs of a Go-Go was published on November 10, 2026 and and will be available for sale at the event coutesy of Follet Books.
