Palliative Care Training for the Community: Grande Prairie

About this Event

This no cost, two-day, in-person training is based on the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Volunteer Training Program which is recognized across Canada. It will give volunteers, caregivers and interested community members the confidence to provide quality support services in any setting, whether that is in hospice, care centres or a private home.

By fostering a deeper understanding of palliative care and enhancing skill sets, we aim to break down misconceptions and reduce stigma surrounding end-of-life issues, and hope to create a more supportive, informed, and compassionate environment for all.

Dates: Fri, Jul 17 to Sat, Jul 18, 2026

Time: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm (Jul 17) and 8:30 am - 4:45 pm (Jul 18)

Location: 55 North Community Centre, 10222 101 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB

Community Host: , will provide snacks and refreshments, as well as a light lunch on both days.

Certificate of Completion will be available to participants who attend both days.
