About this Event

This symposium aims to inspire and equip healthcare professionals to provide excellence in care and support the needs of people living with dementia towards end of life.

Join us to increase your understanding of the terminal nature of dementia, and to discuss the components of person-centred care for people living with advanced dementia.

The program will bring together local leaders, specialists, advocates and champions in the field to share and discuss best-practice strategies and initiatives for improving quality person-centred dementia care across multiple settings.

Dying with dementia will be considered from a multidisciplinary and multifaceted lens and will include discussions on such topics as:

  • The natural history and progression of dementia
  • Conversations and building care partnerships with people living with dementia and their families
  • Practical pathways and approaches to enhance the quality of care for people living with advanced dementia
  • Culturally appropriate engagement and practice
  • Local services, programs and referral options

Full program details and speakers will be announced shortly.

This free symposium is expected to reach capacity. Register early to reserve your place!
