Painting with Enamel - October 31
Skill Level: Beginner
Learn to create imagery with enamel paints on copper. Students will learn the process of sifting enamel using stencils as well as painting techniques. Several exploratory pieces will be made using graphite and enamel paint. No drawing or painting experience needed! Students may work on their own designs or a few provided by the instructor. Students can expect to make at least one finished piece in this class. NO experience or drawing skill is necessary. This photo is just a sample of what students can create in class.
Skills learned in this class: Sifting even coats of enamel (we will be using unleaded enamels in this class), achieving great results using stencils, firing enamel to the perfect temperature, planning and transferring designs onto an enamel surface. Masking techniques for sifting colors.
Students can create jewelry, small pieces of wall art or trinket dishes
NO DRAWING EXPERIENCE NEEDED. There will be numerous samples for inspiration or imitation!
