Aims of the Course: To be able to paint, in watercolour, a variety of materials and create the impression of
realistic objects within a still life composition
Learning Goals: (by the end of the course you will be able to…)
1. Define the role of colour and tone in combination to create realism
2. Demonstrate how to paint a variety of objects using each medium, (eg metal, ceramics, cloth and fruit) in at
least 3 compositions.
3. Apply your knowledge of watercolour in a layered approach.
4. Describe the impact of using watercolours on your wellbeing
