Painting Classes: Being Bold

In this series, we're playing with Courage. Self-expression is brave. Choosing your colors is daring. Hanging your art inside your house is bold. Putting your art up in the gallery for strangers to see is fearless.

You may use these classes to work towards creating a large art piece for your home, or simply put the color on and release your emotions. Art helps you express your inner world and make space for your dreams today. Enjoy a soulful Sunday hobby!

We'll experiment with different techniques and materials to add loud expression to your artwork:

* Choose abstract distinctive shapes
* Pick vibrant palettes to set the daring mood
* Craft captivating silhouettes against bold backgrounds

At Glow we look at Art as an anxiety release tool, therapy for a scattered mind, and self-soothing mindfulness practice. Everyone in class is working on their own piece at their own pace with the teacher's gentle guidance.

About The Art Teacher: Katya is a San Francisco-based artist balancing freelance work, parenting, and continuous artistic education. Katya's art approach embodies playfulness and exploration, utilizing ink, pencils, acrylic, oil, and hand printmaking. One of her art pieces is currently featured in The de Young Museum.

Fees:

$55 single class, $100 for 2 people, $200 4-Pack

$95 single class with gallery size 15in by 30in canvas

Unused classes can be shared with your guests, used for the next course, or other classes at Glow. Classes expire in 12 months.

Private Classes at Glow are $200 (90min 1-2ppl), and Private Group Painting Event at Glow or at your location 90min $600 >

Private Painting Day (2-6h)to co-create a Large piece 2-6ft - $1,000. Read more here >

Bring: everything is provided including a selection of delicious teas. You're welcome to bring wine or any beverage to enjoy for a special occasion - as long as you take your bottles with you when you leave.

Parking: If you're driving - North Beach Parking Garage is at 735 Vallejo ($5/h)
