Painting Birds in Oils - with guest artist Gwen Adair

For Enjoyment are delighted to present the wonderful Gwen Adair as our special guest artist for this September’s workshop at Islesteps Village Hall.

Join us for a day of instruction, learning and confidence building as we delve into an introduction to oil painting as we paint one of our favourite subjects!

Gwen will introduce you to her loose and dynamic painting style. You’ll be working alla prima, (wet on wet) with no underpainting or lengthy processes.

She will guide you through using a limited palette to mix colours and learn to use square brushes and palette knives to develop mark-making and create textures.

Her spontaneous and lively approach will help you to boost confidence and get the most out of with oil paints.

So whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, have tried oils previously or are new to the medium, this event is perfect for anyone looking to explore something new or develop your expanding artistic skills.
