?? FANTASTIC LEARNING AND CPD OPPORTUNITY - PAINTED PONIES AND POSTURE!?? Wednesday 31st July 6pm-8.30pm at Robinsons Equestrian Centre, BL9 6UL - tea and coffee will be provided.Live and interactive demonstration open to all horse riders, owners, trainers, instructors and therapists! No matter what your age, experience or discipline, there will be something new to see and to learn!
Becky Black, Veterinary Physiotherapist and Lecturer, and Hayley Smith, Equine Biomechanics and Movement Coach have teamed up to deliver this fantastic insight into equine anatomy, posture and the impacts we have as riders on performance.
Becky will be painting the skeleton of the horse onto our ridden demo horse, Lola, showing the key areas of focus we need to work on as owners, riders and trainers. She will use the painted horse to explain correct posture, conformation, and the difference between the two. She will explain how we can use correct training techniques to improve their way of going and their movement patterns.
Hayley will use her knowledge and expertise in rider biomechanics to demonstrate the posture of the rider, common faults and how we can work to improve our imbalances to benefit the partnership with our horse. She will use her famous skeleton suit for the rider, and the alignment jackets, in order to help explain common problems such as leg length discrepancy and tilting of the pelvis. She will review how to improve these and encourage you all to try for yourselves!
Together, these ladies have decades of experience in their respective industries, and are really looking forward to sharing their insights about how to look at our horses differently, and ourselves, in order to get the best out of each partnership.
The session is £25pp, payable in advance to secure your place (non-refundable once booked). Price includes delicious treats and refreshments, and a CPD certificate can be provided on request. Limited space available, don’t miss your opportunity!
